The Factolex API follows a simple REST approach. Parameters for methods are set through URL parameters.
Documentation for the Factolex API is only available in English.
The Factolex API is available for non-commercial use by outside developers. Commercial use is possible by prior arrangement.
You must name Factolex within the context of the use of the Factolex API data, associated with a web-link to the Factolex Homepage: http://www.factolex.com/
Requests to the Factolex API must not exceed 10.000 (ten-thousand) requests per 24-hour period.
We reserve the right to deny access to users of the Factolex API who are misbehaving (for example overusing the API, using the data without attribution).
The output of each method is available in 3 formats:
| html | Outputs XML but prepared for being viewed in a web browser. |
| xml | eXtensible Markup Language |
| json | Best for processing the response using Javascript.
When this format is used, an additional parameter is available:
|
The format can be changed by appending a URL parameter &format=format
The parameter is optional. If omitted, the default (shown in bold in the list above) is used.
You can select a language in which to query or access Factolex. Currently only these languages are available:
| en | English |
| de | German (Deutsch) |
The language can be changed by appending a URL parameter &lang=language (using the 2-letter name, as listed above).
The parameter is optional. If omitted, the browser Accept-Language will be used, or English as a fallback.
